Split values (X / Y). Some creatures list two numbers for a stat, such as a To-Hit of +2/+4 or Mitigation of 25/50. The first number is the creature’s base value; the second is its hardened value — in effect only when its special condition is active (a stated aura, a formation with allied units, a buff, or a hardened/enraged state described in its traits). Use the base value unless that condition is met.
Very high Mitigation on the colossal. A handful of Legendary and Titanic creatures (e.g. Aethon, The World-Breaker at Mitigation 80) carry deliberately enormous flat Mitigation. This is by design: mundane weapons are meant to be near-useless against them, and the threat is intended to be answered with magic, terrain, objectives, or retreat — not a straight damage race.
